TOM TIFFANY

On September 17, 1787, Elizabeth Willing Powell said to Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" Franklin's famous reply was, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Republicans say the number one issue in the 2024 election is border security.

Which means every Republican in the House and the Senate should have voted for the bipartisan bill that could have helped solve the problem.

But they didn't.

Tom Tiffany and the rest of the Republicans in the House voted against the bill. They said they would not vote for it because doing anything to help solve the border crisis would help Joe Biden in the 2024 election. 

Which means Tom Tiffany and the rest of the Republicans in the House are happy to hurt the country to help Donald Trump win the election. How badly is the country being hurt every day by not doing more to protect the border? Donald Trump, Tom Tiffany, and Fox "News" will tell you. But they won't tell you it's their fault.

So how much does Tom Tiffany care about the country? He answers that every time he votes against America.

He has also made it clear how much he cares about democracy by continuing to support Trump's claim that the January 6 insurrection was nothing but a picnic (if it even happened).

What has Tom Tiffany done that a rational person might say was good for the country and the people of Wisconsin? 

Unless you are a bigot or very rich or both, the answer is nothing.

More important is that by joining with other Republicans in the House to create problems and refusing to solve problems, Tom Tiffany is part of the Republican plan to claim democracy cannot solve our problems; only a communist dictator can.
